Queso Blanco
Ingredients
1 pound white American cheese
1 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of butter
1 (4.5 oz) can of chopped green chilies
cumin
garlic powder
chips for serving
Optional: Diced tomatoes, jalapeños or cooked chorizo sausage.
Directions
Chop up your American cheese into cubes.
Combine cheese, milk, butter, cumin and garlic powder into a medium saucepan.
Cook on medium to low heat and stir frequently.
Once the majority of cheese is melted, add your green chilies
Cook until the mixture is smooth and gently bubbling. This took around 10 minutes.
Transfer queso into a bowl and top with diced tomatoes, jalapeños or chorizo sausage.
