Homemade Strawberry Pop Tarts

What you’ll need:

  • 2 pie crust

  • Strawberry jam

  • 1 egg

  • Sprinkles

Icing

  • 1/2 cup of powdered sugar

  • 2 tbsp of milk

  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract

How to make it:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

  2. On parchment paper, flatten out your pie crust.

  3. Cut your pie crust into rectangles (about 1.5 inches by 2 inches)

  4. On half of your rectangles spoon strawberry jam onto the dough

  5. Use your remaining dough to place on top of your rectangles with the jam.

  6. Pinch the sides of your dough to connect the two pieces.

  7. Use a fork to crimp each side of the dough

  8. Poke a few holes on top of the dough with the fork

  9. Brush your pop tarts with an egg wash

  10. Bake on a cookie pan for 10 minutes

  11. Make your icing by combining powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract.

  12. Whisk together

  13. After removing your pop tarts from the oven let them cool for at least 10 minutes.

  14. Brush your icing over your pop tarts and top with sprinkles!
