Horchata
What you’ll need:
1 cup of uncooked white rice
2 cinnamon sticks
1 12 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 12oz can of evaporated milk
4 cups of warm water
2 cups of cool water
2 cups of milk (I used oat milk but use whatever you prefer)
Ground cinnamon to garnish (optional)
How to make it:
Wash and drain the rice.
Place the rice, 1 cinnamon stick and 4 cups of water in a bowl and refrigerate for a minimum of four hours.
Add your water, rice and cinnamon stick to a blender and blend until smooth.
Use a fine strainer to pour your rice mixture into a pitcher.
Then add your sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, 2 cups of regular milk and 2 cups of water to your pitcher.
Stir and then enjoy over ice!
You can sprinkle ground cinnamon over your individual glasses of Horchata
