Homemade Corn Tortillas

Homemade Corn Tortillas

Makes 10 small tortillas or 7 medium ones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of Masa flour

  • 1 1/4 cup of warm water

  • sprinkle of sea salt

Directions

  1. Combine all of your ingredients in a bowl.

  2. Knead your dough for 5 minutes.

  3. Cover your dough for 10 minutes and let it sit.

  4. Break your dough into smaller balls. The larger the ball, the bigger the tortilla.

  5. Place a sheet of parchment paper on the bottom of the tortilla press, add one ball of dough, cover with another sheet of parchment paper and press down. If you donโ€™t have a tortilla press you can use two places.

  6. Place your tortilla on a hot nonstick pan over medium heat and cook on each side for about 60 seconds.

  7. Repeat with each ball of dough and enjoy.

Tip: If your tortilla falls apart knead your dough longer.
