Weekend Trip: Jupiter + Palm Beach Florida
Recently I traveled down to Jupiter and Palm Beach, Florida for one of my best friend’s wedding. It had been ages since I had gone that far south down the Florida coast and I had forgotten how nice it really is. In January there is nothing better than sitting on the beach in the sand when you know the weather back home is easily 40 degrees cooler. If you find yourself in the area there are plenty of things to do!
Food
Berry Fresh Cafe
When we think of Florida we think of oranges right? I mean they have in on their license plate. Well Florida did not disappoint especially at Berry Fresh Cafe. Cody and I found this little place off Yelp and we were not disappointed. Located in both Jupiter and Port St. Lucie, Berry Fresh is serving up only the freshest ingredients in the area. One thing I really appreciated was that they offer a “What’s Fresh” menu that listed by month what dishes were made with local ingredients. Its nice to be able to enjoy what’s in season! My favorite was their insane mimosa list. Fresh squeezed orange juice, strawberries and mango is the perfect mimosa to start your day off. Also, not to mention they are huge. I forget how big they come but you can tell from my picture these are some huge drinks.
Lynora’s Alton
If you enjoy Italian food Lynora’s Alton in Palm Beach Gardens is the place to go. It not only has great food but a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating and open restaurant gives you all the opportunities to enjoy some fresh air. For those of you who don’t know I love Italian food and Lynora’s is serving up some of the best I’ve had in while. I had the best Gnocchi al Forno and haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Their homemade pasta is what really sets them apart. I wish I got a picture of the gnocchi but I inhaled it before I even thought to do so, so instead here’s a picture of some equally delicious bruschetta we had as an appetizer.
Shopping
Worth Ave - Palm Beach
If you are looking for a relaxing stroll combined with luxury brands then Worth Ave is your spot! I wanted to come to Palm Beach to go to the Lilly Pulitzer store. If you’re familiar with Lilly then you know it all began with a juice stand in Palm Beach. Worth Ave also is lined up with brands like Vineyard Vines, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. They also had some local shops that are great to check out for some Palm Beach exclusives.
The Gardens Mall -Palm Beach Gardens
This mall is great if you need to go shopping. It’s two stories and has every store you can think of. Cody forgot a suit for the wedding and luckily this mall gave us plenty of options to find one. If you’re from Charleston and you are missing Nordstroms this is the place to go!
Beach
Palm Beach + Jupiter
If you’re in the Palm Beach area, you will have no problems finding a great beach. We walked around Palm Beach but forgot our bathing suits so that’s all we did. We did find a great little beach in Jupiter called Juno Beach Park. They had free parking and bathrooms which make a beach for me. Growing up in Delaware we always had to pay for beach parking so I’m always shook to find free parking. Juno Beach wasn't overly crowded and had a pier you can walk down. I recommend going in the late afternoon when its still hot and most people are leaving!
