Lasagna Soup

Ingredients

  • 1/2 a large white onion diced

  • 8 gloves of garlic minced

  • 6 basil leaves

  • 1 lb of ground beef

  • 2 cups of crushed tomatoes

  • 4 cups of chicken broth

  • 1 tbsp of tomato paste

  • 1/2 bod of lasagna noodles

  • 1 cup of heavy cream

  • 2 tsp of salt

  • 2 tsp of pepper

  • 1 tsp of oregano

  • 1 tsp of garlic powder

  • 1 tsp of onion powder

Directions

  1. In a large soup pot start by cooking your ground beef until brown

  2. Drain the oil from the beef off and add your diced onion and minced garlic to the beef

  3. Cook until the onions are soft

  4. Then add your seasonings to the beef mixture

  5. Add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, and chicken broth to the pot.

  6. Add fresh basal and bring to a boil.

  7. Once your soup is boiling add the lasagna noodles

  8. Cook until the noddles are soft and then add 1 cup of the heavy cream

  9. Mix and serve immediately

  10. Top with Parmesan, fresh basil and enjoy!
