Pickled Red Onions

Ingredients

  • 3 red onions

  • 4 garlic cloves

  • 1 tbsp of black peppercorns (optional)

  • 2 cups of vinegar

  • 2 cups of water

  • 1.5 tbsp of salt

Directions

  1. Slice your onions into thin large slivers.

  2. Place the onions in a jar.

  3. Add garlic cloves and peppercorn into the jar for flavor (optional)

  4. In a pot combine the water, vinegar and salt and heat up for about 5 minutes or until it is hot but not boiling

  5. Add the vinegar mixture into the jar with the onions

  6. Once the onions are bright pink and vibrant they are ready to be served.

  7. Store in the fridge for no longer then 2 weeks
