Carne Asada Marinade

Carne Asada Marinade

Ingredients

  • 1.5 - 2 lbs of flank steak

  • 1 lime

  • 1 orange

  • 1 jalapeno, chopped

  • 6 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 cup of finely chopped cilantro

  • 1/4 cup of olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon of cumin

  • 1 teaspoon of oregno

  • salt

  • pepper

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl combine all of your ingredients accept the steak and stir until combined.

  2. Add your steak into a gallon zip lock bag and then pour your marinade over the steak.

  3. Toss your bag around a few times to cover the steak and then marinate for at least 2 hours in the fridge.

  4. Once your steak is done marinating bring the steak out of the fridge to bring it back to room temperature.

  5. Cook your steak in whatever method you prefer. I used a frying pan to cook mine but I prefer cooking it on a grill.

  6. Once your steak has reached your desired temperature let it rest for 15 minutes. You can then slice it into small slices or cubes. Then serve and enjoy!
